Microneedling

What is microneedling?

Performed under the supervision of a physician, automated microneedling is a new innovation to aesthetic dermatology for the improvement of facial acne scars and other skin surface irregularities. During this treatment, the microneedling device creates thousands of controlled micro-injuries to initiate the skin’s natural wound repair process resulting in an improvement in the appearance of facial acne scars.

The Eclipse MicroPen EVO™ is an FDA-cleared Class II device that is ergonomically designed to give the physician the greatest flexibility and control of any microneedling device.

Intended Use: The Eclipse MicroPen EVO is a microneedling device and accessories intended to be used as a treatment to improve the appearance of facial acne scars in adults aged 22 years or older.

How does it work?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure to treat facial acne scars. The technique involves using multiple tiny, sterile needles to puncture the skin and cause physical trauma. This trauma prompts the derma, a deeper layer of skin, to rebuild. Microneedling may help address many skin-related complaints, including facial acne scars.

While a relatively new procedure, the reported high efficacy, safety, and post-treatment recovery rates has made it popular for both dermatologists and patients.

Ideal results are typically achieved after multiple sessions, however, most patients report improvement after the first procedure.

Eclipse MicroPen® evo

The Eclipse MicroPen® evo introduces the most advanced evolution in skin therapy. The MicroPen ®evo is ergonomically designed, with a high-speed motor and adjustable depth settings to deliver powerful, precise treatments without the cost or bulk of traditional units.

With interchangeable head applications for wider treatment and various skin types, the MicroPen evo bridges the gap between chemical peels and surgical procedures by delivering amazing results at an affordable price.

If you have been chasing fine lines and wrinkles, are on a hunt for a true solution for acne or surgical scars, or simply looking to improve your skin’s texture, tone, and color, the pursuit stops here. Available only through medical professionals, the new Eclipse MicroPen® EVO boasts technology much like that of Eclipse’s revolutionary MicroPen® Elite in that it addresses all these concerns, but with an added powerful technology for collagen induction therapy. This means you get the benefits of skin correction from the Eclipse MicroPen® EVO, plus collagen stimulation, at the same time and at the same appointment. It’s clinically proven to be safe and effective, affordable, and treatments have minimal downtime and discomfort. MicroPen® EVO is safe for most skin types and is known for it’s beautiful, natural-looking results.

Eclipse MicroPen® EVO Treatments

Eclipse MicroPen® EVO treats age spots, blackheads, hyper-pigmentation (melasma), acne spots and scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and improves the appearance of dull, “tired-looking” skin. It can be used on the face, neck, décolleté’, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and neck—the areas that often reveal the most tell-tale signs of aging and sun damage.

Before and After Treatments

What to Expect from an Eclipse MicroPen® EVO Procedure

A sterile cartridge containing tiny micro-points is attached to the Eclipse MicroPen® EVO. Your skincare professional will apply sterile saline to your skin and select the appropriate pen position based on your individual needs. In a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered. Many patients report that the feeling of the Eclipse MicroPen® EVO on their skin is like that of sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas of the skin are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating tip makes the treatment more comfortable. Because most micro-needling sessions only take about 15 to 30 minutes, any discomfort is temporary and is felt only during the procedure itself.

The total healing time from an Eclipse MicroPen® EVO procedure depends on the pen position used and the number of overlapping passes your skincare professional performs. On average, patients experience redness for two to four days. Some patients heal completely within 24 hours. Most patients report noticing a redness to the skin following the procedure.

What Eclipse MicroPen® Can Do for You

One of the most exciting perks of the Eclipse MicroPen® EVO is the immediate results patients experience. Patients can see a “glow” to their skin as soon as the procedure is finished, and visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Results continue to improve up to six months after the treatment. Some patients only require a single treatment in one visit just once a year to achieve noticeable results. However, most dermatologists recommend that patients receive a series of two to three treatments space six to eight weeks apart for best results. For patients with significant skincare concerns, such as deep acne scars, it is recommended to receive six to eight sessions at six-week intervals. You can only receive Eclipse MicroPen® EVO treatments at a medical dermatologist’s office.
